What is the Vanderbilt Parent and Teacher Intervention?

The Esteem Thrive platform incorporates the Vanderbilt ADHD Parent, Teacher, and Community assessments, which are evidence-based, scientifically validated, and highly regarded within the pediatric community. It is for that reason, as well as their significant use within key research projects, we choose to include the Vanderbilt ADHD assessments in the Esteem Thrive platform over other viable options.

The Esteem Thrive platform has completely automated the Vanderbilt assessment process.

Vanderbilt assessments are taken 100% electronically on the parent's or teacher’s phone, tablet, or computer.

The Esteem Thrive platform automatically sends notifications to the parent's or teacher's email or smartphone.

While maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI), the assessment taker is not required to login or create an account.

Every assessment is designed to be easily understood through graphics and color coding.

Once completed, the Vanderbilt assessments are automatically scored.

Esteem Thrive sends a notification task to complete the Vanderbilt every 30 days. The assessor is reminded every 3 days until completed.

Esteem Thrive automatically creates trend-lines and insights to be viewed primally by the pediatrician, but also by parents and behavioral health providers.

The Vanderbilt Parent and Teacher intervention module allow parents, pediatricians, and behavioral health providers the ability to understand the child’s level of symptom severity and screen for possible comorbidities.  This information is obtained from the parent (or guardian) through their observations of the child.

Why is it needed?

The Vanderbilt Parent and Teacher assessment will be completed every 30 days, enabling parents and behavioral health professionals the ability to track whether the child’s ADHD symptom severity is regressing or improving over the time they are engaged with the Esteem Thrive platform.

Why is the Vanderbilt Parent and Teacher Intervention important for the chid’s ADHD care and overall development?

Not only do the Vanderbilt assessments provide a unique opportunity to understand the child’s ADHD journey from both the parent and teachers perspective, it is the primary tool used by pediatricians to diagnose and prescribe treatment options.

Being able to quantify changes in the child’s symptom severity will enable parents and teachers to continue, adjust, or eliminate interventions. Pediatricians will have the ability to titrate medication as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics ADHD guidelines.

What is our desired outcome for this intervention?

The desired outcome is that parents and teachers are engaged in completing the assessment on a 30-day basis. Therapists are reviewing the data and insights provided by the Esteem Thrive platform to adjust interventions and to help guide and inform parents.

Additionally, every 90 days during the child’s visit, pediatricians can use the Esteem Thrive Pediatrician Report Vanderbilt assessment data to better manage their patients' chronic care.

How will we know Vanderbilt Parent and Teacher interventions are working?

The intervention is working when parents complete the Vanderbilt assessments every 30 days. The completed assessments will populate the charts below:

The Esteem Thrive platform automatically sends both the parent and teachers a notification to their email or smart phone. The notification enables them to quickly complete the assessment with very little effort.
